People Store Staffing Solutions is looking to hire Distribution Centre Associates for our client, the largest online grocery distribution project in Canada – Voilà! This 100-million-dollar, state-of-the-art facility is conveniently located in Balzac, Alberta. Be among their first employees !

Pay Rate : Starting at $17.00 per hour

Responsibilities :

  • Ensuring quality and accuracy to every customer order – acts as an advocate to create the end-to-end customer experience with personal accountability.
  • The facility is temperature controlled. Must be willing to work in temperatures ranging from 0°ree;C - 15°ree;C.
  • Picking and Bagging customer orders into Customer Delivery Totes using state of art system (Ocado Smart Platform), ensuring the highest quality packing standards.
  • Support receiving goods from suppliers and decanting products into Hive Totes using a state of art system (Ocado Smart Platform).
  • Working in the Dispatch Zone, Teammates are responsible for loading customer orders into delivery vans and de-kitting the returned assets.
  • Utilize hand scan (Radio Frequency Device) technology.
  • Utilize Mechanical Handling Equipment where applicable.
  • As a Personal Shopper, it is expected to be mobile and able to complete repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Able to consistently lift / handle product up to 40lbs, continuously throughout the day. Occasional heavy lifting required utilizing team lifting principles.
  • General Understanding and adherence of Food Safety Policies or relevant Standard Operating Procedures such as General Health and Hygiene, Allergen Policy, Temperature Checks, etc.

Requirements :

  • Posses’ basic numeration skills.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Able to work in ambient or chill requirement.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Good interpersonal skills including the ability to actively listen and receive feedback / instruction in an engaging manner.
  • Flexible team player who is willing to work across multiple shift(s).
