Job Description

Student position / Toronto / Summer

We are seeking a Student Estate Specialist to join our team for Summer 2025. This student must have the ability to learn new tasks quickly and work well individually and with the team. Good communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities :

• Engage with advisors / clients through various communication methods in a professional and supportive manner;
• Verification of documents;
• Identify potential issues or missed items on the documents and help find a solution to process the estate claim as efficiently as possible;
• Process high dollar estate files : High dollar Redemptions or transfers of various products held in the account (mutual funds, GICs, segregated funds, exchange traded funds) understand CRA administration guidelines & process payment of funds if applicable to the beneficiaries / assignees;
• Provide updates to our clients / advisor about document status via email;
• Escalate issues on a priority basis to ensure we meet SLAs;
• Stay updated on changes in our procedures and participate in our daily DMS meetings;
• Good understanding of Estate guidelines for each provincial legislation;
• Self-regulate and manage daily workloads.
