Job Description

Physician Assistant Opportunity (Occupational Medicine)

24 / 7 Occupational & Emergency Medicine Solutions (24 / 7 OEMS) is currently Physician Assistants for future roles at remote mine occupational health clinics. 24 / 7 OEMS is a subsidiary of Bayshore HealthCare, a leading provider of home and community health care services.

The PA will be expected to :

Provide on-site emergency / primary and occupational health services.
Assist with occupational injury / illness case management.
Review pre-employment medical examinations.
Provide occupational health surveillance services : audiometric, spirometry and respiratory fit testing.
Provide drug and alcohol testing services.

The PA will be expected to practice within the medical directives and formulary as approved by the 24 / 7 OEMS Medical Director. The PA will work as part of the on-site clinical team and have access to our 24 / 7 on-call emergency medicine consultants.

Job Qualification

The PA must have the following qualifications :

Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (current and in good standing)

Advanced Cardiac Life Support

Advanced Trauma Life Support or equivalent training / experience

CPR / AED Health Care Provider

Prior experience in occupational medicine and or the provision of advanced care in a remote setting would be an asset. The PA will be required to have and maintain professional liability insurance for the duration of the project.

Salary above industry standard, signing bonus / travel covered, medical / dental coverage and continuing professional development funding are just some reasons to join the 24 / 7 OEMS team. Start date will be early Dec 2024 with orientation followed by a rotation schedule of 2 weeks on 2 weeks off.
