POSITION DESCRIPTION :

Garden Valley School Division invites applications for the full-time position (7.5 hours per day) of Human Resource Generalist effective July 1, 2025 .

Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resource Generalist is responsible for providing leadership and guidance in the delivery of HR services, initiatives and programs. The successful applicant will partner with educational leaders and supervisors on matters related, but not limited to, recruitment and selection, employee and labour relations, attendance management and performance management.

REQUIRED AND / OR PREFER R ED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Post-secondary degree / diploma / certificate in Human Resources is preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in an HR Generalist role is preferred.
• Prior experience working with collective agreements would be an asset.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of Employment standards, Labour Laws and Human Rights would be considered an asset.
• Exceptional writing ability, verbal communication, and relationship-management skills are required.
• Self-starter with the capacity to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong computer abilities, particularly with HRIS, and MS Office Suite are required.
