Position Overview We are looking for a certificated teacher with experience in teaching High School Science courses. Specifically, the ideal candidate would be able to teach Science 10, Biology 20, 30, and AP. This is a maternity leave position for the 2024-2025 academic year (Start Date : August 22, 2024). Responsibilities & Requirements We seek a qualified candidate who loves children and is committed to teaching a rigorous curriculum, finding creative and innovative ways to engage students, understands our strong faith-based mission, and is dedicated to our educational philosophy of Integral Formation - developing the intellectual, spiritual, human, and apostolic dimensions of the whole child. For this role : - The ability to teach Science 10, Biology 20, Biology 30, and Biology Advanced Placement is an asset.- Other teachable disciplines in either Junior High (such as Math or Science) or High School (such as Math) are an asset.- Discussion of F.T.E will take place with each candidate with the possibility of this position being a part-time to full-time position (depending on the needs of the candidate and the school). - There is the possibility that this may evolve into a permanent position for the 2025-2026 academic year. Ideal candidates would possess Christian values along with the required teaching credentials. New graduates are welcome. Previous teaching experience, substituting experience, or working / volunteering in other child / student-related environments is an asset.
