As a member of their close-knit team, you'll be part of an organization that takes pride in its dynamic workplace and unwavering focus on creating value for both its employees and clients.Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Senior Payroll Specialist, you will oversee all aspects of the payroll process (full-cycle payroll), ensuring timely and accurate payroll administration. Your responsibilities will include : - Payroll Administration : o Process semi-monthly CAD payroll and bi-weekly US payroll for a diverse workforce.o Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies, minimizing discrepancies and addressing any payroll issues efficiently.- Data Analysis and Reporting : o Generate and analyze payroll reports, highlighting trends and discrepancies to management.o Use internal tools to manage payroll data, ensuring the accuracy of tax deductions, benefits, and earnings.- Team Collaboration and Support : o Work closely with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll-related concerns.o Offer guidance and training to junior payroll team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.- Compliance and Auditing : o Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and company policies.o Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for process improvements.- Process Improvement : o Identify opportunities for streamlining payroll processes, introducing new tools, and improving overall payroll efficiency.o Work with cross-functional teams to implement changes that support organizational goals.QualificationsTo succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following : - Education & Experience : o PCP Designation (or in process of completing) is preferred.o A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.o 5+ years of experience in payroll processing or a similar role within a medium to large-sized organization.- Technical Skills : o Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.o Experience with payroll systems (Axon and ADP experience preferred.)- Key Competencies : o Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.o Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.o A proactive mindset with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.Apply TodayClick Apply to submit your resume and take the next step in your career!About UsExecutrade is one of Western Canada’s most comprehensive full-service recruitment firms, with over 50 years of expertise in connecting talented professionals with leading organizations.We are proud to apply principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all our recruitment practices, ensuring equal opportunities for all candidates.
