Working as an integral part of the Nexwsyétsem Communications and Engagement Department, this position reports directly to the Manager of Communications and Engagement, and is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of integrated internal and external communications strategies and initiatives for the Squamish Nation. Working collaboratively with the communications team, as well as with departments across the Nation and external stakeholders, this position develops high-quality, compelling and accessible content for diverse audiences – including the Nation’s Members, external stakeholder audiences and the public – and communications channels. It is also responsible for contributing to the Nation’s social media presence and issues management activities as needed. This position requires the incumbent to have a strong interest in writing, and multi-media storytelling, and excellent ability to articulate information. The incumbent is highly analytical and adaptable, with the demonstrated ability to independently and skillfully manage multiple priorities and meet tight timelines in an ever-changing environment. The incumbent operates with a high level of tact, confidentiality, diplomacy, and integrity, and contributes to a positive and supportive team environment by working efficiently and professionally at all times.

Salary : $ 76,499 - $ 85,634 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits program
