Accountant StaffingSt. John's, NLOur non-profit client in St. John’s, NL is in search of a Financial Analyst to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a CPA Professional accountable for monitoring and reporting the organization’s financial position through the preparation of financial statements, budgeting, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities for the Job :
Provide consistent and complete financial data to the actuary Financial statement preparation Financial reporting and asset management Business case analysis Budgeting and participation in consolidated and capital projects Create financial models that reflect economic and business conditions as they relate to the organization Overseeing the AR, payment systems, payroll and HR activities Maintain comprehensive tracking systems for fixed assets Communicate pro forma financial reports, projections and presentations to the Executive Board of Directors Assisting with benefit payment systems, actuarial data requests & findings, revenue requirements Other duties as assigned
Skills & Attributes for Success :
Post secondary education with a focus in business, commerce, or accounting A professional accounting designation (CPA) Minimum 5 years’ experience in the preparation of financial statements and statistical analysis Proficiency with various computer systems and applications Excellent organizational and analytical skills Professional and approachable team player with strong communication skills Experience with GAAP would be an asset Ability to interact with internal team members and external stakeholders Proven ability to develop comprehensive reports for management Dedicated and self-motivated work ethic
