Job Description

What you will be doing :

Prepare and pour beverages on a cash and host basis
Prompt, efficient and courteous service of beverages
Create an upbeat, energetic and fun atmosphere
Handle cash wine sales
Prepare consumption sheets and cash out
Account for stock (inventory control)
Clean bar and storage spaces
Suggest up selling of food and beverage to guests
Provide information and guidance to guests
Balance cash at end of shift
Other duties as assigned
Hourly rate of $25.05 to $28.63

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include :

Minimum of two (2) years recent, (in the last 5 years) full-time experience in the preparation, pouring and service of beverages

Completely fluent English language skills, both written and verbal

Serving It Right" and “Food Safe” Certification

Thorough knowledge of cocktail trends, knowledge of classic cocktails and preparations

Working knowledge of standard bar equipment

Completion of a practical bartending test

Excellent organizational skills with the proven ability to perform well with minimal supervision

A high level of responsibility and commitment with proven success in relationship building

Driven focus on upselling

Ability to observe and detect guests to provide prompt service

Impeccable grooming and presentation

Must be bondable

Additional Information

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to) : Constant standing and walking, Frequent bending and kneeling, Frequent carrying and lifting

Visa Requirements : Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
