    The College of New Caledonia (CNC) has been a cornerstone of post-secondary education in B.C.’s Central Interior since 1969, with roots dating back to 1962 through the B.C. Vocational School.     About the Opportunity

    CNC is looking for a full-time Community Campus Manager based in our Mackenzie, B.C. campus.

    Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Academic, the Community Campus Manager oversees daily campus operations, ensuring efficient service delivery and a positive learning environment. This role fosters collaboration across departments, engages with Indigenous Rights Holders and community partners, and manages campus resources, budgets, and events.

    More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to :

    • Managing all aspects of community campus operations in collaboration with functional departments
    • Recruiting, hiring, and supervising campus staff, supporting training, engagement, and workload allocation
    • Ensuring high-quality service delivery to students, employees, and the public while fostering a positive team culture
    • Building and maintaining relationships with Indigenous Rights Holders, community organizations, industry partners, and local governments
    • Identifying community educational needs and collaborating with academic leaders to support relevant programming
    • Representing CNC at community meetings, events, and engagement initiatives
    • Overseeing logistics and coordination of campus events, activities, and strategic initiatives
    • Managing campus budgets, financial transactions, and operational planning in alignment with college policies
    • Addressing student and employee concerns, ensuring compliance with college policies and procedures
    • Collaborating with Marketing & Events to promote campus programs and activities
    • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and chairing the campus’ Joint Health & Safety Committee
    • Coordinating with Facilities Services to maintain campus premises in accordance with lease agreements and legislation
    • About You

      To qualify, you will need a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study (Education or Business Administration preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of operational management, project management, and / or supervisory experience within an educational setting. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, and a driver's license and reliable transportation is required.

      Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued :

    • Experience in post-secondary systems, policies, and processes
    • Project management and community relations experience
    • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Ability to manage conflict and change while maintaining productive relationships
    • Knowledge and appreciation of Indigenous culture, history, and engagement best practices
    • Senior administrative experience in finance, human resources, and facilities management
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, database systems, and web-based communication tools
    • Experience managing in a unionized environment
    • As our ideal candidate, you will possess strong collaborative leadership abilities, organizational skills, and problem-solving capabilities. Your ability to foster engagement, build relationships, and create a supportive environment will be key to your success. This is a dynamic leadership role for a strategic and community-oriented professional who is passionate about education, student success, and institutional integrity.
