Job Description

Battery Pack Test Engineer – Job Summary

North America Battery Test Lab is seeking a Battery Pack Test Engineer to conduct battery pack development and validation tests for electric vehicles. The role involves supporting the lab from its launch phase to full operation.

Key Responsibilities :

Lab Launch Phase :

Complete training and adhere to safety procedures.
Learn and operate battery test system hardware and software.
Assist in developing test procedures, reports, and commissioning test equipment.

Full Operation Phase :

Execute battery pack tests, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency.

Maintain lab safety standards and communicate test progress.

Generate high-quality test reports and support issue resolution.

Optimize test equipment utilization and escalate issues as needed.

Requirements :

Hands-on experience with lab tools and test monitoring.

Knowledge of lithium-ion batteries and battery testing.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

Master’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Experience with battery test systems (AVL PUMA), CAN tools (Vector CANalyzer), and data processing (MATLAB / Python).

Familiarity with EV battery diagnostics and ISO 17025 / 9001 standards.

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
