Over time, it has evolved into a trusted partner for businesses across Atlantic Canada, known for its hands-on approach and commitment to creating safer workplaces.
The Alliance’s team of experienced advisors goes beyond compliance consulting. They work alongside organizations to identify gaps, implement effective solutions, and ensure that safety practices align with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations. This partnership-driven model fosters long-term relationships and helps clients build a culture of safety that lasts.
We are seeking an energetic, professional advisor to be the newest member of our team.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Health and Safety Advisor located in Halifax, NS, with some work from home flexibility. The Health and Safety Advisor will be responsible for developing and implementing health and safety policies, conducting risk assessments, investigating accidents, and providing safety training. The advisor will also be tasked with ensuring compliance with occupational health regulations and promoting a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Health & Safety and Environment Health and Safety (EHS) skills
- Experience in Occupational Health practices and regulations
- Proficiency in conducting Accident Investigations
- Skills in delivering effective Safety Training programs
- Strong knowledge of local and federal safety regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Education in Occupational Health, Safety Management, or related field
- Certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or equivalent are a plus
