Overview :
Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is recruiting for a Supervisor, Accounting to join the team. This position reports to the Manager, Revenue & Financial Reporting in the Transmission Business Unit (TBU), part of Pembina’s Pipelines Division.
This role is crucial for ensuring complete, timely, and accurate revenue and regulatory reporting, aligning with TBU’s corporate strategy. Responsibilities include optimizing revenue processes through commercial systems and overseeing all daily and monthly functions related to shipper billing for transportation services and regulatory reporting for TBU’s assets.
Pembina's transmission pipeline assets have developed through the strategic acquisition of key natural gas, ethane and condensate transportation infrastructure assets, positioned in some of the most prolific gas producing regions in western Canada and the United States. Pembina's transmission pipelines provide customers with access to premium markets primarily on a fee-for-service basis under long-term contracts through long-haul pipelines.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to :
- Support Pembina’s safety culture of "Zero by Choice" and the “Life Saving Rules”. To read more about our Life Saving Rules, visit pembina.com / safety;
- Oversee revenue accounting activities, including the month-end close process, as well as conducting financial review and analysis;
- Review and analyze current month revenue in comparison to budget and forecasts, including monthly management narrative distribution to the Executive;
- Review monthly revenue accruals in accordance with US GAAP, IFRS, as well as Pembina’s internal processes and policies;
- Review of monthly shipper and linepack invoicing in accordance with contractual and regulated tariff terms;
- Prepare and review supporting documents for quarterly regulatory reporting as required by FERC and CER;
- Liaise with key members of the Business Unit, including Logistics and Commercial Services, to ensure the accuracy of invoices;
- Champion process improvement and maintain internal control documentation;
- Demonstrate commitment and personal accountability to Pembina’s leadership competencies;
- Provide leadership and visible commitment and engagement with employees including timely goal setting, clear guidance, and performance management for the revenue accounting team to continually enhance the employment experience of all Pembina employees and be an Employer of Choice; and
- Participate and support an equitable, diverse and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications :
The successful candidate must live within 100 km of Calgary, AB. Pembina’s Flexible Work Standard provides the option for eligible employees to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
