The Senior Financial Analyst will be a key member of our Business Unit Finance team, responsible for providing strategic insights, conducting in-depth analysis, and supporting decision-making processes across the organization.

Reporting to the Director- Business Controlling, this individual will be responsible for conducting thorough financial research, analyzing data, preparing reports, and providing actionable insights to the Business Unit Team.

Financial Planning and Analysis

Lead the development and maintenance of comprehensive financial models, forecasts, and budgets.

Provide insights into financial performance, trends, and variances to support strategic decision-making.

Strategic Decision Support

Partner with the Business Unit Team to analyze business performance, evaluate cost-reduction opportunities, and assess the financial implications of strategic initiatives.

Provide recommendations based on thorough analysis and risk assessment.

Financial Reporting and Analysis

Prepare and present accurate and insightful financial reports, including monthly / quarterly management reports, Contract Status reports, variance analysis, and ad-hoc analysis as required.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Forecasting and Budgeting

Actively participate in the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting activities.

Work closely with the Business Unit Team to develop assumptions, assess risks, and align financial plans with organizational goals.

Business Partnering

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Operations, and Sales, to provide financial insights and support business objectives.

Serve as a key member of the Business Unit Team by interpreting financial data and providing actionable recommendations.

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and improve efficiency.

Implement best practices and leverage technology solutions to drive continuous improvement in financial analysis and reporting.

To join our team, you must hold :

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required. Master's degree or professional accounting certification (e.

g., CFA, CPA) is a definite asset.

  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in a financial analyst or similar role, with a track record of delivering impactful insights and driving strategic initiatives.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and statistical techniques as well as in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) is required.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and generate meaningful insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex accounting concepts into clear and concise messages for diverse audiences.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Bilinguisme in English and French.
