What you’ll do

Manage contracts where the complexity requires a higher experience level

Provide program management support for the portfolio of contracts for Canada including special contract vehicles to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and contract provisions, minimize risk, and maximize contract revenue and profitability.

Supervise, coach and develop Program Managers, Deputy Program Managers and Contract Analysts / Administrators; provide consultation, direction and motivation of coworkers.

Draft or review amendments and other contract documents; negotiate with clients and suppliers to achieve best possible terms for CDW.

Monitor delivery and other key elements of CDW and subcontractor performance while coordinating with other CDW departments to ensure contract requirements are satisfied.

Develop and manage technology improvement strategies

Facilitate preliminary dispute resolution and coordinates with the CDW Legal department as necessary, to maintain customer satisfaction and bring prompt closure to certain contract disputes.

Make recommendations regarding the pursuit or discontinuance of transactional and contractual relationships, including associated subcontracts and prime contracts

Provide direction and review of technical solutions of projects while assisting in the development of project plans, staffing plans, and management plans.

Review prepared reports, provide assignment and instruction for daily activities.

Ensure pricing and supply agreements are in place from award through completion.

Seek new business opportunities

Review and evaluate RFX solicitations.

Prepare contract deliverable reports, keep abreast of contractual terms and conditions while assisting in the preparation of contract modifications for price reductions, additions, discontinuances and replacements of product, as well as version changes.

What you’ll need to succeed

Must haves

Bachelor’s degree

5 years relevant experience managing and negotiating contracts in IT or comparable industry.

At least five (5) years’ experience leading a team

Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word and Outlook

Clear, effective communication skills (verbal and written)

Possesses strong problem solving and project management skills

Customer facing experience

Possess understanding of contract terms, processes, requirements, and practices applicable to all the sectors / segments supported

Contract and compliance experience or relevant CDW customer-related experience

Capable of pacifying tense situations

Applies discretion when dealing with sensitive information / situations

Capable of extracting and analyzing contract data, and determining best tactics to enhance margins within contracts

Ability to formulate complex and comprehensive materials such as legal documents, authoritative reports, official publications of major scope and impact, etc.

and / or to make formal presentations

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% or as needed to other CDW locations, meetings and client sites

Nice to have

MBA preferred

Certified by a recognized contract management association

Proficient in MS Access and other Databases.

Knowledge of CDW Business Systems
