MatrixHR is currently recruiting experienced welders for a client of ours located in the South East of Calgary AB. This is an ongoing full time position.
The Welder works within the Manufacturing department and is responsible for MIG and Flux Core welding gauge metal and light structural parts.
This involves but is not limited to : torch and plasma cutting, using hand tools and operating machinery.
Start Date : As Soon As Possible
Wage : $32
Placement : Full-Time, Monday to Friday (with overtime)
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Weld gauge metal and light structural parts using MIG and Flux Core processes
- Fitting of fabricated parts
- Torch and plasma cutting
- Preparation / fabrication of parts
- Read and follow drawings accurately
- Responsibly operate and handle tools and machinery
- Perform quality checks on parts from current and previous fabrication operations
- Other duties and tasks as assigned by your manager
- Performs all duties so as to meet the responsibilities listed in the Safety and Human Resources Policy Manual
- Performs duties according to quality system procedures and work instructions
Qualifications :
- Minimum 2-4 years’ experience working as a Welder
- Previous MIG and Flux Core welding experience is required
- Experience using oxy-acetylene torch and / or plasma cutting
- Previous experience and knowledge of operating hand and power tools
- Good working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office
- Well organized with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent safety record / safety conscious
- Experience in an industrial capacity
