Work location : Remote (with hybrid options in Toronto and Chicago only)

Compensation : Hourly (paid in equity compensation equivalent to CAD $32-35 / hour

Role Overview : We are seeking motivated and skilled Master's level interns for both Data Engineering and Data Analysis roles.

These positions are ideal for students who are passionate about working with data to support business and technical objectives.

As a Data Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by contributing to data management, analysis, and reporting tasks that are crucial for our projects.

Key Responsibilities :

For Data Engineer Interns :

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines for efficient data processing and storage.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure data availability and quality.
• Optimize data workflows and perform data integration tasks.
• Work with large datasets and develop solutions for data storage and access.
• Ensure data security and adherence to best practices.

For Data Analyst Interns :

• Analyze data to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key metrics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Validate data accuracy and perform statistical analyses.
• Present findings clearly to support decision-making processes.

Qualifications :

• Currently enrolled in a Master's program in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of data concepts and analytical methods.
• Proficiency in relevant tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, data visualization tools).
• Experience with data management and analysis is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Hiring Process :

• Application Submission : Candidates are invited to submit their resumes and cover letters through our career portal.
• Written Questionnaire : Selected candidates will receive a set of 10 written questions to assess their fit and technical knowledge..
• Video Questionnaire : Candidates who successfully pass the written assessment will be asked to answer 10 additional questions to be submitted in a video format to further evaluate their skills and cultural fit.

The ability to video record your answers will be required.

• Evaluation : Our team will review the responses to both questionnaires. Candidates who meet our criteria will be invited to the next stage.
• Orientation Session : Successful candidates will be invited to participate in an orientation session where they will learn more about Vosyn, our projects, and what to expect during the internship.

After this session, you will be given the opportunity to opt-in if you choose that this internship is for you.
