GENREP has been a provider of Power Product solutions to Canadian businesses since 1983. Starting as a Service organization focused on maintaining Emergency Standby Generators, we have grown to an organization that provides end to end Generator and Engine solutions.

Our experienced Service technicians are thoroughly trained on maintenance and repair for natural gas-and-diesel powered engines and generators, transfer switches, and fuel systems.

Also in the field, we have a projects team that supports our customers’ needs for turnkey generator and fuel system installations.

Our solutions are cost effective and leverage our field experience to ensure our customers receive a solution that works.

Genrep is positioned for significant growth, and we are currently looking for experienced Inside Sales Representative to identify, manage, and close on new business opportunities for our Power Product Business.

You will help evolve our Sales culture through your technical knowledge, high energy, and sales hunter approach.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Business development activities exploring and identifying new market opportunities.
  • Develop dealer network to support the assigned products, brands and / or OEMs.
  • Originate and establish new customer accounts.
  • Primary customer interface for the organization as the customer champion.
  • Instill a sense of urgency within the organization for meeting your customer needs.
  • Occasional new business sales hunting on the road and over the phone.
  • Liaise with multiple parties to acquire and distribute information.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by troubleshooting and responding to customer inquiries.
  • Build internal Genrep relationships with department stakeholders and delegate appropriately amongst the internal team, in an effort to efficiently achieve Genrep volume and income objectives.
  • Uphold a strong safety culture, perform duties in a safe and effective manner and following all Genrep, provincial and federal safety standards and guidelines.
  • Manage multiple priorities in an energetic, fast-paced environment.
  • Promote a safe, friendly and cooperative work environment.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with other Genrep teams, customers and customer representatives.
  • Follow and uphold all company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as required.

Work Hours : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 am 4 : 30 pm

Job Location : Waterdown, On

Reports to : Manager, Power Products

Desired Skill, Knowledge, and Experience :

  • Demonstrated industry experience of minimum 3 years in Industrial Sale is required as well as previous success in a sales hunter role.
  • A high level of energy with a proven hunter’ approach to sales execution.
  • Post-secondary education with a diploma / degree in business management, marketing or engineering.
  • Outstanding business acumen with an ability to work with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in the Generator and / or Engines industry is required.
  • Strong leadership skills, you are not afraid to challenge and provide your opinion using an influential and collaborative approach.
  • Exceptional team player with ability to build and develop teams.
  • Goal oriented, energetically focusing efforts towards meeting priority objectives.
  • Must hold a valid G Class driver’s licence with access to reliable transportation.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Ability to meet expected business deadlines through highly developed organization, time-management and multi-tasking skills.
  • A commitment to safety.
  • Computer proficiency with a thorough knowledge of MS Office is required.
