Senior Business Analyst - UX Job Description
Determine and make recommendations for the best qualitative and quantitative user-centered research methodologies to identify business needs and direct business areas through the optimal UX process
Lead research activities that explore problems and opportunities for improvements, identify scope and priorities, gather sufficient data, and guide the following steps
Lead discovery research sessions, interviews, and activities to inform UX design decisions
Create user research and usability testing plans that spans every stage of service design up to the launch of a live application, including next phases for improvements
Conduct and lead moderated and unmoderated usability testing sessions
Monitor UX project execution, including establishing and tracking UX project metrics and UX product scorecards
Create user journeys, personas, process flow diagrams, surveys, and other appropriate artifacts to facilitate discussion and engagements
Analyze quantitative data with qualitative data to help drive product and design decisions.
Demonstrate and present the results of user research for executives
Define performance metrics, analyze performance, find helpful data insights, and identify areas that need improvement
Work collaboratively with user experience designers, content writers, development teams, product teams, users, and other stakeholders as part of an agile software development process
Support, partner and influence multi-disciplinary teams, including other business areas, to execute UX projects
Be a self-starter. Take initiatives and drive projects from beginning to end
Mentor and assist business analysts and UX designers as needed
Provides a comprehensive range of I&IT business analysis services for clients with diverse business and technological needs
Interacts with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand their requirements through gathering, documenting, and analyzing business needs and requirements
Prepares and advises on business analysis policies, processes, best practices and standards to promote a comprehensive and consistent business analysis practice within the organization
Senior Business Analyst - UX Mandatory Skills
4+ years of UX research experience
Solid experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research to identify needs, pain points and workflow analysis throughout an Agile development process
Experience with using data analytics to identify UX research findings
Experience in developing user personas, journey maps, service design blueprints, information architecture diagrams and other design artefacts as suits the needs of your project or product team
Experience in planning, prioritizing, conducting, analyzing and communicating research in a variety of contexts
A dedicated advocate of a user-centered, evidence-based approach to product development, while balancing business needs
Develops performance measures and traceability matrices for business analysis evaluation and conducts follow-up
Experience in Leading and conducting business analysis in order to assess client’s business problems / opportunities and document the business requirements
Conducts business modeling; use case modeling; conceptual and logical data modeling; process and data flow modeling; use case surveys;
business rules definition and non-functional requirements definitions for assigned projects
Monitors progress, resolves problems and reports regularly to I&IT management and stakeholders
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills
Senior Business Analyst - UX - Nice to Have Skills
Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices
Ability to translate business and data requirements into specifications sufficient for designing appropriate technology solutions
Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards
Provides a comprehensive range of I&IT business analysis services for clients with diverse business and technological needs
