Responsibilities :
- Establish project level analysis and monitoring of progress including budgets, forecasts, KPIs, risks and recovery.
- Lead in the development of project reporting including schedule and cost tracking for project managers, external clients, and internal stakeholders as defined by business requirements.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project WBS and support activities to implement applicable coding.
- Execute contract change management processes under the direction of project managers.
- Collaborate with estimators and project managers to prepare and / or review project scope changes and incorporate approved changes into project controls systems.
- Monitor commitments, incurred, and actual project costs.
- Prepare project cost forecasting reports and conduct cost variance analyses.
- Become a superuser of client's accounting system (Sage 300), Primavera P6, and timekeeping software (Manusonic) for data gathering and analysis.
Successful candidates will have :
- 5+ years of related experience in Project Controls (cost management, scheduling, planning, and risk management), supporting project managers or project teams.
- Experience in the energy industry, construction industry, and / or general contracting is required.
- Experience using Primavera P6 for project scheduling is preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Project Management, Business or related field or equivalent experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or other PMI designation would be an asset.
- Knowledge of best practices in cost controls, project management and risk management.
- Deep knowledge of planning and scheduling concepts and principles including effects on financial performance.
- Strong data analysis and visualization skills. Experience using Power BI or other business intelligence software is preferred.
