- Ensure a smooth monthly and annual closing process, including journal entries, invoicing, and reconciliations.
- Develop and implement strong internal controls, partnering with Operations to create efficiencies and reinforce best practices.
- Manage corporate credit card programs and work collaboratively with accounting staff at other company locations.
3. Compliance & Control (20%)
- Lead audit preparation for year-end and support any government audits, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Stay on top of local, provincial, and federal reporting requirements, ensuring timely and accurate compliance.
- Help resolve any accounting discrepancies and maintain data quality throughout all reporting.
What We're Looking For

- Professional Background : At least 3 years of experience in senior-level accounting, ideally with some team management experience.
- Knowledge & Skills : Solid grounding in IFRS standards is essential, along with a strong background in governance and internal controls.
- Other Assets : Public company experience is a plus, as is any familiarity with the professional services sector.
- Personal Qualities : Strong organizational skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to think strategically.
What's Next
This role is a stepping stone, designed to evolve with the company's growth and allow the successful candidate to take on additional responsibilities as they're ready.
With significant expansion on the horizon, this position will likely progress into a Controller role, with opportunities for regional oversight in the future.
