Position Summary
The Regional Sales Manager will join a team of senior sales professionals in selling specialty add-in graphics boards and other graphics-related computer hardware and software in the United States.
The designated territory includes Colorado, New Mexico, Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas.
The target customers are OEMs, corporate end users, and VARs. The Sales Manager will also conduct business development with the help of Engineering and Product Management at ISVs and IHVs to foster conditions under which end customers select Matrox products.
Attendance at trade shows and visits to Matrox’s Montreal HQ will be required. The position requires regular in-territory travel to meet with customers.
The travel load varies by need usually between 25% and 35%.
Matrox HQ will provide the Sales Manager with leads. It is also expected that the Sales Manager will develop more leads through his / her own network of contacts and business networking efforts.
The Sales Manager will qualify leads, contact new accounts, and will track all customer relations in the company’s reporting tools.
Call reports will be submitted to the Director of Sales. The Sales Manager will generate and update sales pipeline forecasts.
The Sales Manager will build strong relationships with the appropriate channel tiers, including resellers, and conduct training to educate and motivate channel sales forces to increase sales.
The person can be based in : Texas or Denver, Colorado.
Responsibilities
- Present and sell to all levels of an organization, including the executive level.
- Resolve complex problems in a timely and effective manner.
- Manage multiple customers involving a variety of resources with defined deadlines.
- Assist in providing programming level support to our OEM clients using our DSX SDK.
- Provide SDK and product training for OEM developers.
- Interface directly with customers, engineering, product and project management on product requirements, deployment and technical issues.
- Maintain and assist in existing accounts, working with the applications engineering team to ensure customer requirements and questions are addressed.
- Prospect new customers.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years’ experience as a technical sales representative selling IT products or services, with a proven record of developing new business and increasing existing business at VARs, OEMs, and end customers.
- The candidate will have a strong knowledge and hands on experience with PC hardware.
- As the Sales Manager will be working from a home office, the ability to work independently is essential.
- Experience in training resellers and developing channel networks and personal relationships is required.
- The right candidate will be organized, mature, and motivated and must possess extremely strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- The candidate must have demonstrable experience in a high-tempo business environment and must clearly possess multitasking and time management skills
