What You'll Do

This position will primarily be responsible for developing strategic insights to inform Product and Marketing leadership on the Epic Games Store.

The Senior Data Scientist will work in a cross-functional team environment under the direction of the EGS Director of Analytics.

In addition to other responsibilities, this position will leverage advanced analytical techniques to advance the understanding of our user base and ecosystem, as well as develop high-leverage data models to improve the efficiency of the entire Insights dept.

In this role, you will

  • Work across Product, Marketing and Insights teams sharing KPI-driven reporting and insights.
  • Build a deep understanding of our products and become an expert on all analytics data collected.
  • Develop and maintain standards for dashboards and reporting initiatives. This includes making sure data is visualized appropriately, creating consistent standards, and confirming that all data is accurate.
  • Work with leadership to collaborate on time-sensitive, critical initiatives by providing analytical research and support
  • Support stakeholders of our self-service data pipeline to help them understand the data they are using and teach them appropriate methods to access and summarize the data.
  • Take accountability for the quality of data reported by our products, and work with programming and QA to consistently monitor and improve our data.
  • Perform statistical data analysis and leverage advanced analytical techniques to showcase the impacts of various decisions of our products.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist or in a related field (SQL and Tableau knowledge required, Python knowledge preferred).
  • Demonstrated skills in predictive analytics, especially within complex and high dimensional environments
  • Passion for sharing data with others and an overall desire to make things better.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of both marketplace dynamics and analytics best practices.
  • Passion for the gaming industry.
  • You're user-focused, passionate, scrappy, solutions-focused, and innovative. These traits equal success at Epic and influence everything we do.

This role is open to multiple locations in North America (excluding CA, NY, & WA).
