Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Infrastructure team to ensure MNP’s firm wide network and communications infrastructure are secure, available, stable, efficient, and scalable
  • Assist in design, installations, automation, and monitoring network infrastructure
  • Support Wide Area Networks, Local Area Networks and ISP communications and ensure the network is configured to adhere to best practices for security and performance
  • Develop network roadmaps that align with overall infrastructure technology roadmaps
  • Execute capacity and performance planning, overseeing software upgrades on production platforms
  • Monitor network to ensure optimal performance and eliminate downtime by troubleshooting system problems and performing scheduling maintenance and audits of the network
  • Work on multiple infrastructure projects at the same time
  • Identify technology issues, develop required solutions, and implement improvements to enhance the network configuration
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain network equipment and physical infrastructure
  • Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent problem recurrence
  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedure documentation for applicable systems
  • Work with Security team to ensure the integrity of components and processes
  • Work with vendors and service providers to ensure they are meeting SLAs
  • Manage corporate wide network with a mix of WAN links (MPLS, VPLS, DWDM, DMVPN, etc.)
  • Operate and offer improvement to monitoring policies for network resources
  • Implement and manage disaster recovery and back-up
  • Research and understand current and new technologies and architecture
  • Develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses and industry

Skills and Experience

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in IT and Enterprise network environment
  • Professional certifications are considered assets
  • Strong understanding of the following : Routing Protocols such as OSPF, and BGPNext Gen FirewallsWireless NetworksVPN TechnologiesIdentity and Access Management SolutionsExperience with Cisco and Fortinet
  • Excellent knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
  • Experience with CheckMK and NtopNG would be an asset
  • Experience in managing datacenter network using Cisco ACI considered an asset
  • Experience with load balancer technologies such as F5, FortiWeb / FortiADC considered an asset
  • Understand secure network design and how to apply it
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues during off-work hours and / or extended hours when outages or projects required
  • Experience in Automation / Scripting
  • Ability to communicate in French and English considered an asset
