Legal Assistant (Labor and Employment Law)
We are looking for a legal assistant specialized in labor and employment law for a 12-month maternity leave replacement, on behalf of our client, a recognized law firm.

Responsibilities :
- Proactively support professionals in managing and following up on their cases.
- Coordinate schedules and ensure necessary follow-ups for appointments, meetings, hearings, events, and committees.
- Ensure deadlines are met, and follow up on client files and deliverables.
- Make reminders and follow-ups with current and potential clients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Prepare required documentation for various planned events.
- Transcribe dictations, proofread, and correct documents.
- Manage file openings and billing.
- Prepare expense allocations.
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed.
What you will need to succeed :
- Degree in secretarial studies, legal secretarial studies, or equivalent training.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in legal secretarial work, ideally in labor and employment law.
- Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written) to assist lawyers in both languages.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially Word (intermediate / advanced level), Outlook, and Excel.
- Familiarity with Maître and iManage Work 10 software (an asset).
- Excellent client orientation, courtesy, and professionalism.
- Responsibility, attention to detail, and good organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Team spirit and a sense of initiative.
