ABOUT THE ROLE :

Join Sephora as the Manager of Pricing and Margin where you will lead pricing analysis, tracking, and management! You will play a role in analyzing data and forecasting margin to provide hindsight and recommendations to our North American, Planning, Merchandising, and Finance teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO :

Pricing Parity Management

  • Lead annual Pricing Parity project including collaborating with Merchandising strategy to review and update SKUs and collect pricing data for Margin and IA Manager to be used in Pricing Parity analysis
  • Ensure all SKUs are set-up as per FX direction from Leadership while performing regular audits and partnering with the appropriate team for updates / corrections;

build and maintain Brand IMU and Brand MSRP trackers

  • Track and analyze competitor pricing and consumer behaviour to understand the pricing impact to Market Share in collaboration with the Finance team
  • Partner closely with IT to gain their support for any roadblocks and implementation of new systems related to pricing

Margin Analysis

  • Acquire and maintain a detailed understanding of strategies, business issues, risks, and opportunities to present consolidated data in a clear and concise manner
  • Analyze and interpret data sets to explain and identify risks and opportunities for margin improvement including margin analysis for budgets, forecasts (R1, R2), and other required reports
  • Collaborate with inventory planning teams to provide insights on margin and its impact on the business while reviewing current processes and adapting the planning tools

Internal Tools and Reporting

  • Develop internal tools as needed to ensure execution for one-time update and regular audits
  • Build, publish, and maintain reporting dashboards summarizing Parity execution / audit updates, weekly sales reports, etc.

Record brand and SKU pricing (Brand Cost and Retail, Parity, IMU%) ensuring timely and accurate information

WHAT YOU'LL BRING :

  • You have 5+ years of retail pricing / planning experience; post-secondary education is preferred
  • Great at expressing yourself clearly and creatively, both verbally and in writing with an ability to compile detailed statistical reports
  • You are driven by curiosity and mastered strategic agility while maintaining Sephora's vision and purpose
  • You are technically savvy and an Excel guru
  • You love solving problems and using your analytical skills to find solutions
  • You excel in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
