In this role, you will be responsible for crafting messaging that resonates with our target clients, addresses their pain points, and drives engagement, demand, and inbound.
You will develop persuasive copy for a strategic range of marketing materials and channels. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of B2B storytelling, is a rockstar at translating complex, technical concepts into clear and delightful copy, and has a track record of developing content that generates demand and supports the sales process.
The Content Marketing Specialist reports to the Director, Marketing. This is a full-time, non-remote position based in Toronto.
Responsibilities : Design content marketing strategies and set short-term goals. Produce high-quality content by collaborating with the project teams and SMEs.
Create an editorial calendar and ensure that deadlines are met. Deliver engaging content daily and weekly. Edit, proofread, and improve the content.
Optimize content considering SEO and Google Analytics. Analyze web traffic and LinkedIn metrics. Generate creative ideas to increase audience engagement.
Conduct research as needed on various topics. Monitor competitors socials and content to help inform our messaging. Qualifications : Proven work experience as a content marketer, preferably in B2B or mining, construction, commercial development, energy, transportation.
Proficient in MS Office and WordPress or other Content Management Software. Understanding of web publishing requirements.
Ability to predict audience preferences with an editorial mindset. Hands-on experience with SEO and web traffic metrics.
Expertise in social media platforms. Project management skills and an obsessive attention to detail. Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
Success will be measured based on the following KPIs : Achieve at least 95% adherence to the content calendar deadlines.
Increase organic traffic by 30-40% over 6 months. Improve average time spent on page by 25-35% over 6 months. Attain a 15-25% increase in LinkedIn post engagement over 6 months.
Achieve 5-8% CTR on LinkedIn posts over 6 months. Increase LinkedIn page followers by 15-25% over 6 months. Achieve a .8%-1% CTR on LinkedIn Ads.
