Responsibilities
- Ability to readand interpret blueprints to determine dimensions, tolerances, and layout ofwork
- Ability to readand understand the imperial system of measurement
- Determine theappropriate welding equipment, set up and technique based on build specifications
- Align componentsusing Straightedge, Combination square, etc. and clamp pieces
- Tact welds orwelds components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc, or other weldingequipment
- Maintain equipmentin a condition that does not compromise safety
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years ofwelding experience
- Proficient in theuse of Oxy / fuel cutting equipment, electric welding machines
- Proficient in theuse of GMAW, FCAW, SMAW welding processes and procedures
- Experience usingwelding equipment and procedures
- Experience usingelectrical or manual tools
- Ability topractice safe work practices and properly use PPE
- High attention todetail required, with the ability to look ahead in the work process
- Patience andadaptability to multi-tasking
