Firebag Technical Solutions is a Professional Consulting Engineering Firm that provide project planning, engineering design and project management services to the Oil and Gas industry.
We specialize in conventional Oil and Gas projects, heavy oil (SAGD, CSS) processing and enhanced oil recovery projects.

Main Duties and Competencies :
As a contributing member of the Project Controls team, the Intermediate Planner / Scheduler will be required to work closely with other groups, leaders and project managers to support effective and proactive control of project plans and schedules.
This position will require a strong commitment to excellence in the development and support for cost control and project management systems, processes, resources, and tools. Key duties include :
- Logic Analysis
- Variance analysis
- Ability to meet safety requirements to attend site visits
- Everyday scheduling and maintenance
- Resource loading
- Perform other duties as requested
- Schedule trending and impacts
- In depth what-if scenario analysis
Requirements :
- Three (3) years or more of planning and scheduling experience in engineering and consulting environments
- Bachelor or Graduate degree in a related field
- Field experience and construction planning is an asset
- Strong MS Excel skills for analysis and reporting
- Proficient with P6 Primavera Project Management
- Background in Heavy Oil / SAGD projects would be preferred, but not essential
- Quality focused with strong attention to detail while being able to maintain a whole project perspective
- Strong communication and influencing skills both verbal and written
