Job Summary :
We are looking for a visionary CHRO to lead our Human Resources function in Ontario, focusing on strategic workforce planning, talent acquisition, and organizational development within the automotive sector.
The CHRO will drive HR initiatives to attract, retain, and develop talent aligned with our company’s growth and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Strategic HR Leadership : Develop and execute HR strategies that align with the company’s vision, values, and business goals.
- Talent Management : Lead efforts in talent acquisition, employee engagement, and retention strategies to build a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Organizational Development : Design and implement initiatives to foster a high-performance culture, employee development, and leadership growth.
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion : Champion DEI initiatives to promote an inclusive work environment, supporting diverse talent and perspectives.
- Performance Management : Oversee performance appraisal processes and ensure alignment with organizational objectives, providing continuous feedback mechanisms.
- Compensation and Benefits : Develop competitive compensation and benefits strategies that attract and retain top talent, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Compliance and Safety : Ensure HR practices meet legal requirements and promote a safe and compliant workplace.
- Employee Relations : Lead efforts to foster a positive work environment, address employee grievances, and maintain effective communication across all levels of the organization.
Requirements :
- Experience : 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certifications (e.
g., CHRP, SHRM) preferred.
- Strategic Skills : Proven track record in strategic workforce planning, talent development, and organizational change management.
- Technical Skills : Knowledge of HR software and data analytics for informed decision-making.
- Interpersonal Skills : Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across departments.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with labor relations and union management.
- Familiarity with automotive industry regulations and workforce requirements.
- Proven ability to lead DEI and change management initiatives in a corporate environment.
