About the role
We’re looking for a Manager, operational excellence and projects, to join our process improvement team.
Working with the Director, business intelligence and operational excellence, you will be responsible for supporting and developing the team of operational excellence and project management specialists.
In addition, you will manage a portfolio of high-visibility projects that have a significant impact on our strategic objectives.
You will play an important role in implementing various initiatives and improving processes in direct distribution. You will work and support various business units.
You will also support our team of operational excellence and process improvement specialists in their work on national projects to help our partners achieve our objectives and deliver successful projects.
You will have the opportunity to present the results of your work to the management team and participate in the budget process.
What you’ll do here :
Manage a portfolio of business projects related to our strategic objectives.
Participate in key projects with the experts on your teams.
Promote and apply best practices in project management, change management and operational efficiency.
Inspire and effectively manage a team of professionals.
Help build team skills.
Drive team excellence to achieve a sustained level of commitment.
Collaborate with management teams and business partners.
What you bring to the table :
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Seven years of experience in managing operational excellence projects.
Five years of experience in managing and coaching professionals.
Knowledge of process improvement analytical methodology (e.g., Lean Six Sigma).
Knowledge of and proficiency in project management methodologies, tools and best practices.
PMP certification, an asset.
Experience in setting up and managing a project office, an asset.
Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
Leadership abilities.
Excellent collaboration skills.
Ability to learn quickly and think strategically to challenge the status quo.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong interest in operational efficiency and project management.
A desire to tackle challenges head on.
Critical thinking skills and ability to draw conclusions and apply them effectively.
Ability to turn vision into action
