Description
The Organizational Change Manager will report directly to the Senior Manager, Change and Deployment. This individual will be a key member creating and implementing program take-to-company strategies into the business
The successful incumbent will work closely with key business stakeholders to successfully implement key initiatives and processes into our business.
They will lead a take-to-company team by overseeing and coordinating all change and deployment deliverables i.e., change activities, deployment strategy development, training, internal communications, understanding current and future state processes and impacts, and other required activities to ensure successful pilot, rollout and stabilization .
By working with business teams on-site and remotely, observing processes, and soliciting feedback, they will be responsible to advocate for affected business teams, bringing concerns and ideas to the project team to incorporate into future requirements and solution development.
Responsibilities
- Develop program deployment strategy into business functions, including resourcing and managing end-to-end deployment activities (location selection, scheduling, planning, defining deployment strategies and implementation process)
- Partner with other program and / or project teams to identify sequencing, synergies and dependencies
- Lead cross functional business teams to operationalize changes depending on program deliverables : new technological enhancements, applications, capabilities, and processes.
- Oversee and manage cross functional deployment team responsible for implementation activities during the preparation, execution and stabilization phases.
Take-to-company incorporates the following responsibilities (non-exhaustive); pilot execution, change management planning / readiness / reinforcement, tactical and strategic communications, training development and execution, process and field engineering design and stabilization, procurement and supplies, analytics and reporting development, performance measurement, IT equipment and user accessibility, coordination with other stakeholders (LP, HR, EH&S, etc.

- Analyze Business Requirements to understand current state vs. future state changes into business. Identify new approaches and solutions to business issues identified through analysis of processes and creation of work standards, best practices, and flow management
- Identify potential people and business risks with plans developed to mitigate and address the concerns
- Internal communications plan to ensure ongoing and proactive communications with internal teams and stakeholders on upcoming changes, expectations and status updates
- Visit terminals to understand current challenges and gather feedback on current and future solutions, providing timely input on operations and business impact to the project tea
Additional Responsibilities
- In partnership with Learning & Development, develop and establish a Training strategy and training needs assessment including the deployment of a training curriculum to ensure employees impacted by the change are ready, willing and able to adopt new ways of working.
- Develop change readiness assessments to evaluate business readiness to adopt new practices and systems, identifying potential obstacles that may arise during deployment.
- Create and manage measurement systems to track adoption, utilization and proficiency of individual changes
- Identify resistance and performance gaps, and work to develop and implement corrective actions. Create and enable reinforcement mechanisms and celebrations of success.
- Advocate for affected business teams within the program - identify potential risks and escalate issues when gaps are identified
- Communicate regularly with business teams on upcoming changes, expectations and status updates
Experience
- Bilingualism (French and English) is a preferred asset
- 5-7 years of Operational experience (Management level preferred)
- 2-5 years of Operational experience in the deployment of processes or technologies to Front Line and Management Levels
- Thorough understanding of the Purolator Operational systems and processes
- Experience with Change Management Methodology (Certificate is an asset)
- Experience with Project Management (PMP designation is an asset)
- Lean / Six Sigma Training (Green Belt is preferred)
- Post-Secondary Education preferred
- Intermediate knowledge of MS office suite of products (Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Self-directed, motivated and able to work independently and in team environment
- Strong Leadership, project and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing projects
- Intermediate knowledge of MS office suite of products (Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Strong communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Must be able to address time sensitive demands on a continuous basis. Support is sometimes required at off-hours for issues affecting Operations, and meeting deadlines
- Ability to work remote, connectivity is required
