Reporting into the Associate Director, Digital Marketing, the Digital Marketing Lead will be responsible for leading and executing integrateddigital strategiesand campaigns that support key business objectives and promote and strengthen HOOPP’s brand and reputation.
This role will be workingand collaborating with a variety of groups within the Corporate Operations & Strategy teamto develop holistic digital strategies thatdrive brand awareness, support audience education and enhance the digital experiences of our membersand other key stakeholders.
NOTE : This is a 12-month contract position.
What you will do :
Delivering digital-first communication strategies
Plan, drive,oversee and support execution ofintegrateddigitalmarketing strategies and solutions involving HOOPP’s website email campaigns and social media platformswith the goal of enhancing user experience and engagement while balancing business objectiveswithuser needs.
Work independently, yet collaboratively with internal partners todrive awareness, education and engagement among HOOPP’s key audience groups, including members,HOOPP employers, and other stakeholders.
Provide user-centric, data-driven recommendations to optimize and email campaigns using industry best practices and where appropriate, A / B test to gauge effectiveness of a controlled variable.
Work with internal partners and other members of the M&C team to develop effective email campaignsthat engage audiencesbased on campaign objectives and previousdata and insights while focusing on continuous improvement.
Ensure digital solutions align with overall brand and website guidelines and principlesto ensure a consistent and seamless user experience across HOOPP’s digital channels.
Assist with copywriting and / or editing of digital copy to ensure copy and layout work together to meet objectives.
Develop and execute social media paid campaigns as part of communication campaigns, monitoring their progress, adjusting strategies as necessary and reporting on performance once complete.
Managingprocess and day-to-day functions
Work within an agile framework on a cross-functional digital team to support and execute partner communication initiatives. This includes :
Assisting in developing timelines to execute digital communication activities.
Helping to plan andprioritize initiatives based on business needs and end-user value
Act as a key contact for partners in IT, to drive forward digital improvements and solutions.
Work closely with the Digital Marketing team to delegate,prioritize, and execute work.
Continuous channel optimization
Work closely with the Analytics & Reporting Lead to review website and emailperformance data and recommend new opportunities and approaches for improvement.
Stay up to date with websiteand email trends, best practices and developments in the market.
Help lead SEO activities to increase engagement and awareness of content in support of brand and reputation objectives.
Identify issues that may impact the performance, SEO or user experience of and develop and execute solutions with key internal business partners.
Qualifications :
University degreeand / or College diploma in a discipline such as Marketing, Communications or a related discipline.
A minimum of 5 years’ corporate experience with a focus indigital marketing / communications.
A keen learner and strategic thinker, able to navigate the learning curve efficiently and effectively.
Proven ability and experience executing successful, cross-channel digital marketing strategies using data and proven industry best practices and methodologies.
This includes but is not limited to developing personas and project objectives, optimizing websites (including mobile optimization, UX and SEO), delivering effective email campaigns and monitoring and assisting in creating engaging social media campaigns to deliver business value.
Proven ability to perform effectively in a cross-functional, team-oriented, agile environment, with an openness to continuous improvement and new challenges.
Flexible and collaborative attitude, open to working on all aspects of projects, includingstrategy development, planning and deployment.
Ability to make sense of multiple quantitative and qualitative data sets to derive insights for the purposes of improving user experiences and marketing outcomes.
Excellent analytical and project management skills, with an ability to oversee and execute multiple projects at once with differing timelines.
Strong ability to influence and sell ideas and recommendations.
Superb communication skills.
Technical skills :
Strong working knowledge and experience with updating and maintaining web content on CMS platformsWordpress, Sitefinity).
Working knowledge of HTML or HTML5. Knowledge of JavaScript and CSS is an asset.
Strong working knowledge and experienceusing online marketing optimization tools (Google Optimize, Moz, SEMRush) and web analytics platforms Google Analytics, Siteimprove).
Proven experience with email marketing, campaign development, A / B testing best practices, and tools Dotdigital).
Understanding of AODA / WCAG requirements as they apply to web and email design.
Knowledge and experience using marketing automation tools Hubspot, Marketo, Salesforce) to improve personalization and targeting abilities is an asset.
