Team Lead, Completions

Our client is looking for a Team Lead, Completions to join their team in Calgary. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and execution of all North American projects, leading a team of completions professionals.

You will ensure that our management processes are actively implemented during planning and operations and that appropriate contractor equipment and personnel are optimized.

Managing day-to-day operations, you will make decisions to maintain safe operations.

Your success will be defined by your ability to :

  • Oversee design and execution of all North American business unit completion-related projects, well abandonments, recompletions, and non-routine repair work
  • Oversee and assist with 24-hour frac monitoring to ensure optimum reservoir stimulation
  • Capital management of all projects from budgeting to accruals
  • Ensure that HSE plans are adhered to resulting in safe and efficient execution

Your strengths include :

  • 15 years of hands-on completions engineering experience from a combination of service companies and operators, with extensive working knowledge of completions operations and equipment.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role overseeing direct reports
  • Experience working in the Montney and deep basin
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build respectful and effective working relationships across all levels
  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering and a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA
  • Experience with coil tubing well service blowout prevention
  • Thorough knowledge of well operations and completion engineering fundamentals
  • Knowledge of applicable North American regulatory requirements including Permit to Work, Incident Investigation, and Job Safety Analysis processes
