UPS is currently looking for a Full Time Automotive Technicianto work in our Vancouver Hub Facility near YVR (Richmond BC).
This is a Permanent and Full-Time Automotive Mechanic position located at : 5960 Ferguson Road, Richmond BC.

Shift : 5 : 00PM to 1 : 30AM (Monday Friday)
Job Summary :
UPS Automotive Technicians are responsible for the maintenance and repair of the company's fleet of package delivery vehicles and tractor-trailers.
They ensure that that all UPS vehicles are serviced regularly by following the company's preventive and planned maintenance schedule.
UPS Automotive Technicians are also required to resolve DVIR concerns for each vehicle on time. They are also required to create and submit maintenance reports on all vehicles they service.
- Work shift is from 5 : 00PM to 1 : 30AM (Evening / Night Shift);
- Work days are from Monday to Friday;
- Schedules are based on operational requirements;
- Shift hours will slightly vary and may be subject to change;
- Guaranteed wage progression with a guaranteed top rate;

Skills Required :
All Candidates are required to have the following Abilities, Skills and Knowledge :
- Ability to follow set and standard procedures;
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License (BC Class 5 is mandatory);
- Must have a clean Driver's Abstract;
- Able to operate a Standard Transmission / Manual Transmission Vehicle;
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment; and,
- Must be Bondable.
UPS also requires candidates to have :
- Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification (Certificate of Qualification / Inter-provincial Red-Seal);
- A candidate with a validatedexperienced apprenticeship may be considered;
- Must own essential trade tools and equipment;
- Must have own safety-shoes;
- Reliable transportation (facility is not transit accessible);
- Experience in Diesel Engines, Vehicle Electrical and Electronic Systems, Steering, Brakes and Suspensions; and,
- Experience in the maintenance of both Standard and Automatic Transmissions
Experience in Propane-Fueled Engines and in Fleet Maintenance is an asset but is not mandatory.
UPS Automotive Technicians work mainly indoors, inside the warehouse shop but will occasionally work outdoors on the fleet equipment.
All UPS Automotive Technicians will be required to wear the provided uniform during work hours and are required to adhere to the UPS Appearance Guidelines.
