Sustainability and IR Reporting Manager

Jump Recruitment Specialists has partnered with Altius in search of a full-time permanent Sustainability and IR Reporting Manager for either their Toronto, Ontario office or St. John’s, NL office.
Who they are
Altius Minerals Corporation ("Altius") is a successful diversified natural resource royalty company ( $700 million market cap) with royalty interests in sustainability focused materials and commodities, including base and battery metals, potash, and high grade / low impurity iron ore for steel-making.
Altius also cofounded and owns 58% of Altius Renewable Royalties (ARR), the first publicly traded renewable royalty company established to finance utility scale renewable energy projects.
The two companies are seeking one position which will work in two disciplines, namely IR and Sustainability, and with both companies.
The Sustainability and IR Reporting Manager candidate will be an energetic individual with drive, initiative and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment developing investor communications and sustainability programs.
This position also plays a critical role in ESG strategy development, carbon footprint calculation and offsetting calculations, reporting and other disclosure.
The Job
- Editing, drafting, setup and follow through of press releases
- Website content creation and updates
- Conference and road show preparation and event leadership (Investor Day, PDAC)
- Budget preparation
- Participation in analyst meetings
- Participation in shareholder meetings
- Development of presentations to Board and management
- Research and reporting on analyst and shareholder issues
- Key member of sustainability reporting
- Lead engagement with sustainability ratings agencies (CDP, MSCI, Sustainalytics, Refinitiv)
- Carbon footprint calculation lead, working with external consultants to report including Scope 3 category 15
- Budget preparation
- Development of presentation materials for Board and Sustainability Committee
- Conduct peer benchmarking and gap analysis
- Member of peer group council on ESG
Qualifications
- Completed university degree, ideally in science or environmental management but open to other degrees / backgrounds
- 5 years experience in a similar role, with proficiency in MS Office in particular Powerpoint / Excel
