Aiolos is a project based company that designs and builds specialized test facilities, including aerodynamic and climatic wind tunnels, primarily for the automotive and aerospace industries in North America, Europe and Asia.

Project delivery models include engineering services, EPCM (Engineering-Procurement-Construction Management) and EPC (Engineering-Procurement-Construction).

Project contract values can range from under $1,000,000 to over $50,000,000.

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the organization has a consistent supply of necessary goods and services required for successful completion of projects at competitive prices.

This role involves building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and complying with internal policies and procedures to meet the organization’s needs.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing and Procurement :

  • Identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
  • Solicit and review quotes from suppliers.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
  • Place orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Vendor Management :

  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Market Analysis :

  • Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and availability of goods and services.
  • Conduct market research to identify new sourcing opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies based on market analysis.

Compliance and Documentation :

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports to management.

Qualifications

Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP), or similar are added advantages.

Experience :

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement or purchasing.
  • Experience with engineering materials, equipment, and services is preferred.
  • Familiarity with technical specifications and requirements of engineering projects.

Skills :

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Salary Range : $90,000 - $110,000 (based on experience)
