About the Role : Reporting

The Production Planner reports directly to the Director of Maintenance.

Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure the materials, tools, and technical documents that are required for the completion of planned work is listed in company work scope templates.

Liaise with various business units at Avmax to determine best practices on utilizing shared resources effectively.

Review completed work packages determine the planned re-course, material, special equipment and tooling required to meet on-time completion.

Liaise with the various external contractors and agencies as required to determine availability of services when developing the production plan.

Determine technical data required for planning and execution of the work to be performed by production.

Develop and implement strategy to monitor and report on cost performance and schedule performance.

Monitor schedule performance and issues which impact project timeline.

Update and issue changes to customer work packages.

Complete assigned tasks as provided by the Planning Manager and / or Program Managers.

Develop project timeline, milestones based on production deliverables.

Shop floor workflow.

Shop Card / Task Card flow out to Production Floor.

Communication with the Production Manager regarding task status and workflow.

Assist with the management of supplier lead time requirements / expectations.

Qualifications

2-year technical school diploma.

AME M2 License is considered an asset.

PMP designation is considered an asset.

Demonstrated capability and competency in field of expertise.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to work well with other individuals throughout the organization.

Posses strong fundamental technical aircraft knowledge.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of planning experience within related field.

Aviation experience is considered an asset.

Experience with maintenance tracking software (Experience in Quantum is considered an asset).

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, notably Word and Excel.
