This role offers flexibility, as it can be filled remotely on a one-year contract basis. Alternatively, we are open to considering a full-time permanent position for candidates who are able to work from our Kelowna office.
Your Mission
Reporting to the DAO Manager, the Structural Design & Airworthiness Engineer, will carry out the structural design & airworthiness tasks related to the installation and integration of SKYTRAC Systems products on customer aircraft.
A day in the life :
- Develop all necessary structural design documentation including equipment installation, antenna installation, ICA, supplemental inspections, etc.
- Develop all necessary structural compliance documentation including, certification plans, structural analysis, damage tolerance & fatigue analysis, weight & balance reports etc.
- Liaison with Transport Canada DAR's to ensure designs and compliance documentation meet airworthiness requirements
- Liaison with engineers of various technical backgrounds to ensure all technical requirements are airworthiness requirements are incorporated into designs
Candidate Must Have's
- Engineering Degree from an accredited University (Aerospace, Mechanical or Structural) or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum of three years of structural / mechanical design experience or a minimum of two years aircraft structural / mechanical design experience
- Current standing or eligibility for registration as a EIT under EGBC
- Fundamental understanding of structural and mechanical principles
- Ability to work in AutoCAD and SolidWorks applications
This will make you stand out :
- Two years of experience in design, analysis and / or certification of aircraft modifications
- Understanding of aerospace & structural principles
- Understanding of TCCA, FAA and / or EASA aerospace regulations
The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $100,000 CAD. The range posted is a guide and may not represent the compensation offered to the successful candidate.
Compensation is based on the skills, knowledge, experience and qualifications brought to the role.
