Who we need
Reporting to the onsite Production Manager, we are adding an experienced, goal-achieving, deadline-oriented Master Scheduler to our team.
You will prepare production schedules for manufacturing and assembly of part components or displays / merchandising units.

You will focus on :
Analysis. You will examine production specifications and departmental capacity data and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, machines, and capacity resource requirements.
You will analyze daily and weekly capacity and capability schedules and seek preapproval from Production Control Manager for work to be outsourced based on findings.
Leading. You will conduct daily / weekly production and review meetings with the production and material planning team to ensure on-time delivery.
You will provide a copy to the materials planner and reviewing with the team to initiate planning activities. You will ensure the Master Production Schedule is up to date, accurately, and reflects correct ship quantities and shipmates.
- Creating the master production schedule. You will :
- Develop the master production schedule in weekly increments, establishing the sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to seasonal sales forecasts and customer orders.
- Provide a master production schedule based on each area's schedule and reviews this with Manufacturing Engineer and PPC to initiate planning activities and scheduling sequences.
- Support purchasing to arrange transportation of material (including yield), sample, files and drawings to the vendor.
- Create a schedule of all subcontracted work and communicate daily with purchasing to maintain delivery dates.
- Accuracy. You will :
- Enter the calculated time (Takt Time) for each operation on the component list, based on the estimated quoted hours.
- Collaborate with PM, Manufacturing Engineer and PPC to ensure BOMs are updated with new content sheet information from clients.
- Maintain and provide accurate information for department KPIs in a timely fashion.
- Initiate action with the Section Manager and Department Manager to mitigate issues related to quality and productivity that could affect the timely delivery of a production job.
- Coordinate with teams when changes need to occur on the schedule.
- Track schedule attainment and report root causes for any deviation, including a recovery plan.
- Analyze and provide information about any productivity / efficiency deviation.
- Prepare production reports.
- Continuous improvement. You will work with production, project management, warehouse, internal suppliers and shipping to help expedite rush orders and to ensure products ship on time.
You will participate, support and sustain 5S, Safety and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
You have :
- The education and experience. You have a diploma or degree in a related field. You have experience working in a Lean, fast-paced manufacturing environment and familiarity with ERP / MRP systems, databases, and MS Office applications.
- You have strong math skills with an ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume;
as well as apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
The solution-oriented approach. You have an ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
You can interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. You have strong analytical skills and the ability to work with statistics to conduct root cause analysis to assess short-term and long-term impacts on capacity planning.
The interpersonal skills. You have flexible and effective communication skills, and you can build internal and client relationships.
You are comfortable facilitating meetings, proposing ideas, and presenting to senior managers.
