About the work environment :

Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home.

Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8 : 00am and 4 : 30pm with flexibility around start / end times.

We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto office. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.

About you :

You are a dynamic and results-driven business development manager with a strong focus on driving growth within the payments ecosystem.

Leveraging your in-depth expertise in payment processing, BIN sponsorship, and payment solutions, you excel at acquiring new clients and expanding existing relationships across the financial services sector.

With a proven track record of successfully closing high-value deals, you understand the intricacies of payment infrastructures, card issuing, and merchant services.

Your strategic approach to business development is centered on delivering innovative payment solutions, ensuring seamless integration, and fostering long-term partnerships that drive profitability and operational efficiency for clients.

About the Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or relationship management within the financial services or payment processing industry.
  • Strong understanding of money movement, acquiring, and issuing BIN sponsorship services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

About the day-to-day :

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow our client base in money movement and BIN sponsorship services.
  • Identify, establish, and maintain strategic client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and uncovering opportunities for upselling and long-term engagement.
  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify emerging trends, assess competitor offerings, and highlight potential areas for business growth.
  • Collaborate with senior management to design and implement innovative and effective sales strategies and plans that align with business objectives and market demands.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and pitches, clearly articulating the value and strategic benefits of our services to prospective clients.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, leveraging networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility, secure new partnerships, and expand our reach.
  • Partner with internal teams, including marketing, operations, compliance, to ensure alignment and provide support for business development initiatives.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate sales performance metrics, identifying progress, areas for improvement, and implementing adjustments to strategies as needed.
  • Staying informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and company offerings to provide relevant insights.

Compensation :

Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary plus a discretionary profit share opportunity. In addition, we are pleased to offer employees both group benefits and the option to participate in our RRSP matching program, beginning the first day of employment.

Salary for this position will vary between $100,000 and $120,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience that the chosen candidate possesses.
