MacDonald Search Group is proud to partner with a Vancouver area success story in the consumer packaged goods industry in their search for an HR Manager to join their team for a one year contract.
What you will be doing :
- Recruitment, on-boarding, orientation, off-boarding activities
- Analyze HR metrics data / trends to identify issues and recommend strategies for improvement
- Address and resolve complex employee concerns and disputes, ensuring adherence to employment laws and company policies
- Advise management of potential employee issues and either overseeing or conducting the investigation required to successfully work through employee issues, including formal complaints
- Administration of extended health, dental and MSP benefit programs
- Administration of claims management
- Oversee outsourced payroll (Payworks, ADP) and prepare reports as required for management
- Maintain employee related personnel files
- Develop, update and maintain companywide employee policies, procedures, and programs
- Delivering training programs and workshops for management on employee relations policies and practices.
- Supporting employee development initiatives
- Monitor performance evaluation program
- Manage HR related grant applications
Who you are :
- You have a relevant degree and at experience at the HR Manager level
- You have some experience in a production / manufacturing environment
- You have or are pursuing your CPHR designation
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills
- You are a strong communicator and relationship builder
The successful candidate will be joining an organization with a reputation as a great place to work and will rewarded with a competitive compensation / benefits package (base salary + / - $110k).
