ACi Industrial is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the daily operations of its Eastern Ontario location, located in Brinston.

You walk the talk and deliver results. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this role involves hands-on management of all aspects of construction, from site operations to maintaining project quality, timelines, and budgets.
The Project Manager will also liaise with contractors, project owners, and key stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.
This is a full-time position with immediate start availability. (This position is an on-site in-person only position, with no remote work option.)
Key Responsibilities :
- Coordinate with Finance team to prepare financial reports and issue cash flow projections.
- In conjunction with the Site Supervisor, approve invoices specific to the projects.
- Provide input on interpretation of contract, plans and specifications while ensuring that consultants or contractors fulfill their responsibilities.
- Move between overseeing projects and being hands-on, front-line duties as required.
- Participate in weekly internal project progress meetings and progress tracking.
- Chair all Project Administration Meetings.
- Ensure that as built drawings are prepared on an ongoing basis by all trades during the construction period.
- Delegate tasks to project coordinators and work with site superintendents and monitor progress to completion.
- Motivate and build a culture of flexible productivity and innovative solutions.
- Proactively identify and track project risks, develop mitigation plans to manage risks, minimize exposure of the organization to risks and non-compliance to policies and regulations.
- Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules.
- Schedule and forecast daily and monthly resource needs. Plan and coordinate trades to meet project milestones.
- Coordinate and manage construction personnel and subcontractors.
- Maintain a safe job site by implementing site-specific safety plans and procedures.
- Ensure project quality meets design and industry standards.
- Communicate effectively with engineers, designers, inspectors, and municipal / provincial agencies.
- Proactively resolve issues related to work interference, scheduling, and potential project delays.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Engineering, Architectural or Construction Management Degree.
- 5-year min. of experience managing construction sites or similar positions working for GC or owners.
- Proven knowledge and understanding of construction processes and practices.
- People management experience. Strong leadership, supervision, and dispute resolution skills.
- Strong negotiation skills with trades and suppliers on non-standard prices and contract surcharges.
- Capacity to influence decisions, leadership without authority.
- Ability to manage multiple and even conflicting priorities.
- Familiarity with construction management software.
- Experience dealing with different sub-trades representatives (such as owner, PM, and foreman).
- Safe work practices and knowledge of safety regulations.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel.
Qualifications :
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in project management, engineering, architectural or related disciplines from a recognized university, college or institute.
- Minimum of 5 of related working experience.
- Project management certifications Project Management Professional (PMP) or Gold Seal designations are an asset.
- Valid G Class Driver’s License, required.
Other Requirements and Expectations :
- Requires sometimes to work during weekends or nights.
- Willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform construction-related tasks year-round in varying weather conditions.
Experience :
- 5-10 years of experience in Commercial Construction Supervision.
- Millwright : 3 years (preferred)
- Supervisory : 1 year (preferred)
Job Type : Full-time
Salary : $90,000 per year (depending on experience)
