Job Summary
As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the movement of goods and ensuring the timely delivery of shipments.
You will be responsible for assigning drivers to routes, managing schedules, and communicating with drivers and customers to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Execution
- Using CAT tools and industry experience assign qualified, contracted carriers to customer loads at the market price
- Use creativity and strategic thinking for better pricing and maximum profitability and efficiency
- Quality Control
- 100% on-time and accurate tracking of all loads at al times including after hours with corresponding system updates
- Use industry experience to filter carrier information for accuracy
- Communicate with colleagues of any issues immediately
Partner Management
- Building trust, loyalty and solid long term relationship through effective and consistent communication with partner carriers
- Continuously expand our service offerings by adding new and / or specialized carriers (LTL Reefer, over dimensional etc)
- Maintain regular contact with frontline staff communicating our loads availability as well as their equipment availably
Required Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 1-3 years previous industry experience, University degree preferred
- Strong organizational and computer skills with knowledge of Web bases office applications
- Aggressive and assertive negotiator
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and achieve outcomes in fast pace environment
- Work effectively in, and contribute to a team environment
- Excellent time management skill, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
