Summary ofResponsibilities :

  • Ensuringthe hotel payroll system and internal controls are followed asapplicable to the payroll function and with Employment Standardsand company guidelines
  • Successfullytransmitting the biweekly payroll information to Dayforceaccurately and in a timely manner
  • Preparingdaily labour reports
  • Reconciling VacationBalances
  • Preparing Records of Employment andprocessing the payment of gratuities on a biweeklybasis
  • Submitting payrollrelated statutoryfiling requirements to ensure timely submission ie.WCB / EHT
  • Reporting to relevant governmentagencies regarding source deductions EI andCPP
  • Responding to all internal and externalpayroll inquiries in a timely manner and working proactively toresolve reoccurring issues
  • Year End rollover ofall payroll records and functions including processing ofT4s
  • Recording of payrollrelatedjournal entries and monthly GL reconciliations to payrollsystems

Qualifications :

Yourexperience and skillsinclude :

  • 3 yearsfull cycle payroll experience required
  • Enrolledin payroll program Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP)or certification preferred
  • High level ofproficiency in Microsoft (MS) : Excel Word Email and other MicrosoftPCbased applications
  • Knowledge of CeridianDayforce and ADP Processing System experience isrequired
  • Must have experience processingpayroll for 400employees
  • Extreme attention to detailand accuracy with the ability to analyze and review data forerrors
  • Proactive and accountable takesinitiative with the ability to workindependently
  • Professional written and verbalcommunication with high confidentiality anddiscretion
