Role and Responsibilities

The role we are offering you :

The responsibilities are to ensure a solid financial governance on CAE Technology projects, support internal clients to achieve financial targets, support forecasting and budgeting activities and prepare business cases for technology investments.

Be ready to :

  • Govern Budget and Forecast process
  • Prepare Business Cases for investment opportunities, challenge the numbers, build and support financial assumptions
  • Implement, oversee and improve monthly reviews for technology projects
  • Prepare monthly / quarterly financial reporting packages for Executives, explain discrepancies versus Budget and Previous Forecast
  • Identify project financial risks and be a key contributor in the mitigation of those risks
  • Partner with Technology and Business Segments to unify visions and simplify processes
  • Support the team members in their day-to-day tasks
  • Perform financial analyses and defy status quo

The ideal candidate has :

  • MBA or a professional Accounting Designation (CPA)
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in technology
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, gap analysis
  • Organized, detail-oriented, autonomous, and able to take initiative
  • Team player, ability to lead and customer-oriented
  • Proactive, dynamic, and problem solver
  • Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels
  • Ability to communicate in French and English (written and spoken)
  • MS Excel / MS PowerPoint / MS Outlook / MS Teams advanced user skills
  • Planisware knowledge is considered an asset
