As the Director of Information Technology Operations, you will oversee and manage all aspects of the organization's IT infrastructure, with a particular focus on optimizing IT operations, cybersecurity, and user lifecycle management.

You will work closely with other departments to ensure technology solutions are aligned with business goals, scalable, and secure.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT operations management, strong leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of modern IT operations, including identity and access management, cybersecurity, and enterprise collaboration tools.

Job Duties & Responsibilities :

  • IT Strategy & Operations Leadership : Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures that align with business objectives, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations of the IT department, including network administration, system backups, service desk and user support, and incident response.
  • Identity & Access Management (IAM) : Oversee identity and access management (IAM) policies and practices, including user authentication, role-based access controls, Single Sign-On (SSO), and multi-factor authentication (MFA).

Ensure proper access rights are granted based on job functions while maintaining robust security protocols.

Employee Onboarding & Offboarding : Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, ensuring timely provisioning and de-provisioning of IT resources, including access to systems, applications, and networks.

Automate user provisioning and de-provisioning where possible to improve efficiency and security.

Password & Authentication Management : Implement and maintain secure password policies and systems, ensuring compliance with security best practices.

Oversee password management tools and solutions that help employees securely store and manage their credentials.

Cybersecurity Oversight : Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures to safeguard the organization's IT infrastructure, systems, and data.

Work closely with the security team to monitor, detect, and respond to threats, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.

g. GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001).

Office 365 & SharePoint Management : Oversee the management and optimization of Office 365 applications, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.

Ensure these tools are effectively used to enhance collaboration and productivity and ensure security and compliance.

Network & Wi-Fi Management : Manage and optimize the organization's network infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity, optimal performance, and security across all locations.

Oversee Wi-Fi management, including network configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Service Management & SLAs : Establish and maintain IT service management (ITSM) processes, including incident management, change management, problem resolution, and service-level agreements (SLAs).

Ensure service uptime and quick response to any IT-related issues impacting business operations.

IT Asset Management : Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, utilization, and decommissioning.

Track and optimize the use of hardware and software to improve cost efficiency and performance.

Compliance & Governance : Ensure IT operations adhere to relevant industry regulations and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).

Support risk management, governance, and compliance (GRC) efforts across the organization.

Team Leadership & Development : Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team. Foster a collaborative, results-oriented environment and provide opportunities for professional development.

Experience, Education & Designations :

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 8 years of IT management experience, with at least 5 years focused on IT operations.
  • Proven experience with identity and access management (IAM), onboarding / offboarding, password management, and cybersecurity operations.
  • Hands-on experience with Office 365, SharePoint, network infrastructure, and Wi-Fi management.
  • Experience with asset management tools and processes.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, ITIL, PMP, Azure Certified, etc.) are highly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes :

  • Strong Leadership & Communication Skills : Ability to lead a diverse IT team, influence cross-functional departments, and communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive IT Infrastructure Knowledge : Strong understanding of IT infrastructure management, including networks, servers, cloud computing, and security systems.
  • Cybersecurity Expertise : Deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices, including threat detection, prevention, and incident response.

Experience with firewalls, VPNs, SIEM systems, and endpoint protection.

  • Collaboration Tools Expertise : Extensive experience with Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, and other collaboration platforms to improve organizational productivity and communication.
  • IAM & Security Protocols Knowledge : Expertise in IAM technologies, MFA, SSO, and other access control measures to ensure secure and efficient user management.
  • Business & Technology Alignment : Ability to align technology solutions with business needs, optimizing resources, and ensuring scalability and security.
  • ITSM & ITIL Framework Knowledge : Familiarity with ITIL practices and ITSM frameworks to streamline IT service delivery, improve operational efficiency, and manage risk.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Knowledge : Knowledge of compliance regulations and frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.
