The Position

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Business Services to lead and manage a dynamic multidisciplinary team to effectively deliver the operational revenue-generating services of the school (including transportation, food services, facility rentals and auxiliary programs).

You will be accountable for making program and operational decisions and have direct leadership responsibility for implementing services that contribute positively to our student experience.

Your experience enables you to proactively identify and develop other mission aligned financially viable opportunities for the school and contribute to long term enhancements and expansion initiatives.

You are a leader who sees possibilities, while being pragmatic and conscientious of context. As a member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will work collaboratively with the Head of School, the Director of Finance, the Director of Development, Director of Communications and Marketing, and division principals.

Key Areas of Responsibility : The position’s key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following : Identifying and developing business cases to increase overall revenue through other mission aligned financially viable business development.

Supervising and directing the school’s business unit operations (transportation, facility rentals and food services, auxiliary services.

Identifying long-term planning needs and opportunities in auxiliary programming. Leading, overseeing, and evaluating the operation of business units of the School and ensuring appropriate process mapping, planning, organization, leadership, performance management.

Overseeing all aspects of risk management for areas of responsibility, including emergency response plan, staff training and effective procedures and systems.

Serve as liaison for strategic development expansion projects. Contribute to the Board Strategic Planning Committee. Developing, implementing, and managing the processes for procurement, coordination and monitoring of third-party providers for areas of responsibility.

Coverage for staff absences in areas of responsibility. Qualifications : A minimum of 5 years experience in a related field.

A minimum of five years in a leadership role. Demonstrated experience in budgeting, planning, risk mitigation and project management.

Class 3 Driver's License and Clean Driver’s Abstract. Capacity to accommodate an occasionally variable work schedule. Involvement in a multiyear expansion project is an asset.

The successful candidate will need to provide, or have on file, an updated Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening prior to commencing work.

Key Success Skills : Business acumen and ability to contribute at a strategic level, while also balancing day to day operations and leading various teams.

Ability to analyze financial and technical data from a variety of sources. Leadership and team-building skills, ability to share information in an open and collaborative manner.

Strong oral and written communicator with well-developed listening skills. High degree of diplomacy, tact, and customer service orientation.

Managing multiple priorities. Client centered / school knowledge. Salary : CFIS offers a competitive total compensation package including a RSP plan that does not require matching, generous vacation time, and benefits.
