Summary :
Reporting directly to the System Team Lead. This SeniorSystem Admin
is responsible for the overalltechnical management operations ongoing
maintenance and support of our largescale productionwebsites and networks.
Role :
oManagement and support of LAMP environment
oMaintain vendor relationships as required for technicalinfrastructure of office and website systems.
oWork directly with the Development Team Leads and ProjectManagement in managing projects for the website and provide finalsignoff / approval for release to production.
oWorking directly with Senior Management participate in planning andproject discussions for various websites.
oAnalyze and assess areas of risk to systems and recommend / implementchanges as appropriate to the business.
oContinuously assess network and systems security ensuring a highlevel of
systems data security is maintainedoverall. Report concerns directly to the CTO.
oPerform systems and network architectural design for the sitesnetwork
including capacity planning hardwareinfrastructure software integration OS
andsoftware performance tuning.
o Act as singlepoint of escalation of production issues interfacing with requiredresources to see issues are resolved in a timely manner.
o Effectively manage risk including monitoring systemredundancy and backups based on business requirements andacceptable risk.
o Provide technical assistanceand consultation as required to all areas of the
company including Project Management Sales QualityAssurance Accounting
Customer ServiceDevelopment and Systems departments.
o Performspecial tasks and projects companywide as assigned by the TeamLead.
Responsibilities :
o Managing a largedsitributed LAMP environment
o Facilitateproblem solving and collaboration ensure discussions andmake
decisions that lead toward closureintervene when necessary to aid the team in
resolving issues.
o Be part of oncallrotation (12pm 8pm EST 1week duration every 4 weeks).
o Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements :
o 5 years of experience with LAMP (Linux Apache MySQL PHP)
oMinimum of 2 years of management / leadership experience in atechnology oriented organization required.
oMust be well versed supporting webservers
o Strong background withstorage SAN (NFS and iSCSI)
o Well versed with ELK stack( Elasticsearch Kibana Beats and Logstash)
o Adding / removing nodes expand clusters rebuilt clustersuse InfluxDB
o TCP / IP knowledge BGP and OSPF
oHandson experience working with Linux in a Systems Administrativerole
o Handson experience working with AdvancedNetwork Administrative role
including routingswitching and security
o Exceptional problemdetermination and creative problem solving skills
o Strong written and verbal skills
oStrong understanding of software development lifecycle
o Strong documentation and organizationalpractices
o Extensive experience with many ofthese :
o MySQL maintenance andtroubleshooting
o LAN / WAN / VPN setup andtroubleshooting
o Linuxbased and other firewalltechnology
o Cloud technologies (OpenStack oVirtRHEV or similar)
