PERMANENT FRENCH TEACHERS
The Waterloo Catholic District School Board serves over 30,000 learners and provides services to students in 50 schools (Kindergarten to Grade 12 and adult learners) across the Waterloo Region.

Qualifications
We invite applicants that meet ONE of the following criteria :
Qualified Ontario College of Teacher (OCT) Educators in Good Standing
New Faculty of Education Graduate from 2023 and you are awaiting your OCT Number
New Faculty of Education Graduate that will be graduating in 2024
Internationally Trained educators who have achieved their Ontario College of Teacher accreditation OR in progress of working through the accreditation process.
Working knowledge of the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations, Ethical Standards for the Teaching Profession, and the Standards of Practice for the Teaching Profession
Proficient knowledge & understanding of Ontario curriculum, evaluation & assessment techniques
Current in understanding of research, integrating technology and best instructional practices
Effective classroom management skills and ability to create a welcoming and safe Catholic learning environment for all student

University transcripts (including post-graduate if available)
Two professional references :
Employed by a School Board on a contract position within the last 24 months - one reference must be the most recent, immediate supervisor.
Faculty of Education student within the last 12 months and not been employed by a School Board on a contract position - one reference must be a Faculty of Education Advisor or Associate Teacher.
Returning to a teaching from a leave greater than 24 months - professional and / or academic references or alternative may be personal character references.

Interview Process.
Shortlisted candidates receive an interview invitation by email. Please monitor your spam / junk email folders.
The successful candidate will be required to produce a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Background Check. For further information on Criminal Background Checks, please refer to policy APS 038 on the website of the Waterloo Catholic District School Board.
